The Honeymoon Crashers (Unhoneymooners #1.5) by Christina Lauren

In general Christina Lauren is an auto read for me. Their stuff is light, and the catalog is varied enough to keep me interested.

I read one of their other short stories earlier this year - The Exception to the Rule and I I really enjoyed it.

I found this equally enjoyable. It’s an audio only format and there are multiple narrators and background effects but it wasn’t distracting. The female narrator did a wonderful laugh and I think that went a long way to making are hero charming and not campy.

There is a third act reveal about our hero that wasn’t necessary for me but I’m never mad about a woman who is more successful than a man. Don’t get me wrong - Billionaire Football Players who can kill you with one punch is its own catnip - but I’ve fallen for some well written ‘everyman’s as well.

If you were an audiobook listener I would recommend it as a nice palate cleanse but it’s not going to be a relisten.

Final thought: A great way to spend an afternoon.
