Phoenix Rising (The Keeper Origins 3#) by J.A. Andrews

I have a good friend (pointed look at Allison here ) who really likes to read long, long, long Fantasy books. I respect that. And I am willing to dress up as that person as occasion. But that is not me.

That being said, this The Keeper Origins series was entertaining and easy to follow for a novice Fantasy Reader. The Fantasy elements were not overly complex, and the world building was not so far out there that a simpleton like me got lost.

The characters were well developed and while the first book leaned a little too heavily into the “I will do anything for my sisters!” vibe I feel like Andrews found a nice balance by book 3.

I will never read this again - but I enjoyed my time in this world and I don’t feel like the hours of my life spend reading this were stolen from me.

Final thoughts: Solid entry level Fantasy
